My name is Layla Ghaeini Leveret, and I am an actor
and writer currently based in Dallas, Texas. I've been performing for over twelve years now, bringing enthusiasm, whimsy, and diligence to every project. If I'm not performing or scribbling poem drafts somewhere, I'm probably painting, practicing my ASL, or rewatching sitcoms.

Iranian culture is steeped in the renewal of spring and celebrates the joy and sorrow of change through poetry. As a young Iranian American kiddo I grew up surrounded by the work of many poets I still love today, along with classical theatre voices like
Shakespeare, Chekhov, and Ibsen. Though their language may be intimidating at times, I am continually comforted by knowing that we as humans still struggle with the exact same things we struggled with all those years ago. It makes me feel less alone. I want that comfort for today's young adults. So striving to bring the magic of prose, poetry, and classical theatre to new audiences is something I will always be excited about!
